Description: A raw material for iron-making, coal is also used as a reductant and flux. After being heated at a high temperature, coal turns into coke due to carbonization. It is used as a reductant for the pig iron-making in the blast furnace as well as a flux for the fuel of the blast furnace. (Donated by CSC)
