Taiwan's first rice cooker was manufactured by Tatung in 1960 in reference to the RC-6K rice cooker made by Toshiba Co., Japan. This is an early model of the Tatung rice cooker featured in a white color. Later, Tatung manufactured the red rice cooker as “the dowry series” and the green rice cooker to match with the green refrigerator.
