Description: "Pan Wen-yuan, born in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province on July 15, 1911, has devoted his career to the research of electronics and won fame and applause from the world. Dr. Pan has made great efforts to cultivate talents, help develop the IC industry in Taiwan, lay the foundation for the nation's modern engineering technologies, and encourage academic interchanges. In recognition of his contribution, National Jiaotong University has decided to grant a honorary doctoral degree to Pan.
