Soy bean beater ABOUT >>
Source: Museum Collection
Description: In early Taiwan, after the soy beans were harvested and exposed under the sun, the farmers would use the soy bean beater (it is usually a bamboo stick, or a stick joined by two uneven sticks) to beat the beans to remove the husks. Then they would use a sieve to sift the beans from the husks. (Donated by Huang Qi-sheng).
